First Few Steps

I have so much to see

So much to reach out for

So many things to try

That I never tried before.

 

First, I want to stand up tall.

And then, to bend my knee.

For beneath my feet and above my head

Is a world that's new to me.

 

Then I'll take my first few steps

And probably a fall

But, no matter what may happen

I'm going to try it all.

 

And soon you'll hear me chatter

My first words well should be,

"You see, I've made it this far...

The World Belongs to Me!"
